Working under the direction of the Local Resilience Forum with the Local Authority, Public Health and Health, so that the local system continues to support you and your home with infection prevention and control, we are pleased to offer you training and support sessions which will cover three important aspects:
· Infection Prevention and Control
· Donning and Doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
· How to undertake a COVID 19 Swab
The training will be delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams and will last no longer than 2 hours. You can download Microsoft teams from https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app
The session will be live and interactive. Participants MUST have access to a laptop/PC with a camera that is connected to the internet.

Please ensure that you have accessed, viewed and read these materials before attending a session. Each participant must have access to the necessary PPE for the donning and doffing of PPE element of the training session – an apron, gloves, mask and eye protection
Who should attend? Care Home Managers, Registered Nurses, Senior Care Workers
Each session will:
- Provide expert training that can be cascaded to others
- Offer small groups of no more than 8 homes with live conversation and practical elements
- Support Providers with CQC regulations under the Health and Social Care Act, regulation 12 outcome 8 and provide evidence
CPD certificates will be issued following the training
Over the next few weeks we are also aiming to develop further training offers across Sussex and will advertise via the Local Authority Communications.
