The East Sussex Safeguarding Children Partnership (ESSCP) replaces the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB). The Children and Social Work Act 2017 created new duties for police, health and the local authority to make arrangements to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in their area. Following the passage of the Act in April 2017, the Government published the revised statutory guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018. These changes included the replacement of Local Safeguarding Children Boards with local safeguarding partnerships.
