The Sussex DSPT team has been supporting providers to complete their DSPT for almost a year now. One thing that many providers are concerned about is their cyber security. They struggle to explain the technical aspects of cyber security in ways that are relevant to their staff so that they can help keep their organisations safe from cyber-attacks.
Equally, many providers simply do not have the resources or the know-how to put any cyber security policies and training in place at all, leaving their care setting exposed to cyber/ransom attacks or data loss
There is so much cyber security advice available these days, it can be hard to know where to start. The National Cyber Security Centre is someone you can trust to provide excellent advice and they are offering a free e-learning package 'Top Tips For Staff' that can be completed online, built into your training platform and your induction programme.
